The Mission of the Van Alstyne Public Library is to enhance the development, growth, and well-being of our community by providing an organized collection of books, reference materials, programs, and other resources, to educate, entertain and inform.

All materials check out for two weeks and may be renewed for two more two-week periods if the item is not reserved by another patron. Items are not automatically renewed. Give us a valid email address and you will receive a courtesy reminder three days before your due date. Let us know if you’d like a reminder text as we can contact almost all major carriers.

To either reserve or renew an item online, set up a PIN number either in person or over the phone.

Building Closed - Services Continue!

Starting November 17th, the Van Alstyne Public Library will begin a long-awaited renovation as we complete several interior improvement projects to better serve you. While our building is getting its upgrade, library staff are still here for you in new and creative ways!
