Community Waste Disposal

Welcome to Van Alstyne Community Waste Disposal! A North Texas family owned business with an emphasis on customer service. They also offer more services. Their trucks have an extra axle for less wear and tear on our streets, for example. Oh, and there's an app for that! Watch the video and learn more about our new trash and recycling vendor.

July 4th!

Saturday, July 4th! Central Social District

Bring a chair and your family and friends to join us at the Central Social District for a night of FREE Live music. The Dustin Perkins Band delivers authentic Texas country with a modern edge. Known for heartfelt songwriting and energetic live shows, they blend traditional country roots with Southern rock influences, making them a crowd favorite across North Texas. This is a FREE family-friendly event with food trucks and live music. Coolers are welcome (NO GLASS) and pets are welcome on a leash! We will honor our 2026 Hometown Hero prior to the concert along with a special 250 years of America celebration presentation.

City Council Meeting, June 9th at 6:30pm

The regularly scheduled Van Alstyne City Council Meeting will be held Tuesday night, June 9th, at 6:30pm at City Hall located at 152 N Main Drive. The meeting will be preceded by a work session at 6:00pm. The regular meeting will be streamed live at 6:30pm.

Hey, Summer Readers! With school out and the main library closed until July, where will you get your books? At the Mini-Library!

Montessori School Breaks Ground

N4 Montessori School is coming to Van Alstyne!

They had their groundbreaking on a windy day in May. I talked to the founders and the general contractor to let you know more on what is coming and how you can get on the email list for early enrollment.
